LONE OAK FARM, NY.

WHO WE ARE

John, a native Texan, acquired a farm in Dutchess County, NY in 2014. It was all he had dreamed of: a little piece of heaven with forested lands, a small orchard, wild fields, a large pond - and surrounded by wetlands. His wife Frederique, born French, was with him at this start in this farming adventure. She quickly found herself gardening and slowly began re-introducing herbs, fruits and vegetables. Initially for fun and to feed her little family, she soon discovered the full potential this land had to offer! John & Frederique have blended, tasted, cooked with and served many of their herbs and are now ready to share what Mother Nature blesses them with every year with others!

Our FARM

Lone Oak Farm is a sustainable farm located in Amenia, NY, a rural community in the heart of Dutchess County. Our herbs and vegetables are grown on our Farm’s 14 acres. We do not spray our fields with pesticides or insecticides; our soils and water are tested yearly; and our crops are rotated in order to care for the nutrients in the soils. Lone Oak Farm practices Permaculture techniques, including some ancient & efficient ones such as the "Ollas" irrigation system, using clay pots in raised beds. We are committed to be the best stewards of this land, and to care for our local pollinators, the bees.

Our HERBS

Our Mints, Lemon Verbena, Chamomile and exclusive Melanges promote better health, digestion and sleep. Grown completely pesticide- and insecticide-free, they make perfect herbal teas all year long. Sold fresh during the season and dried during the winter, our herbs are also a fantastic addition to any professional chef's kitchen - They can also be a creative one to your cocktail library. Herbs are a healthy and delicious way to season foods without the extra calories. "Some herbs every day keeps the doctors away"!

our mission

HEALTHY, HUMAN & NATURAL,
WE MEAN IT

Let's face it. Mother Nature can be capricious and we won't try to fool her...Severe droughts, late or early season freezes, pests or natural diseases can all affect organic and sustainable farming. But we are commited at Lone Oak Farm to only sell the best and most natural herbs in the most environmentally friendly way, and to share our harvest with you but also with our wild neighbors- the pollinators.

OUR PROMISE

NO ADDITIVES, JUST PURE HERBS
